you don't have to be 18 to participate...

I know DIC doesn't require it, but I still have my parents to contend with. Long story short, I don't have a way to get the gift to the recipient without their help, and they would freak out if I wanted to participate in an online gift swap with people from all around the world mainly b/c I would be giving out my name and address to people they don't know. Not that I wouldn't love to participate, as I really would. It won't be too much longer though until I'm 18! Just another 12 months until freedom. :D

Sound's like a plan. I've always wanted to enjoy my present in the company of other cold-hearted bastards and rapists. :D

It's jail or social services at that point... And as they say, you meet all the interesting people in Hell. *Scratches head and thinks for a moment* Wait, wouldn't that make DIC Hell then, and Chris Satan??? Or Sloth, would that be you?

That's good to know. I can meet a few interesting people in a short trip to Hell, then return to a normal life. Plus, it all gets wiped off my record. Yes! I've always wanted the government to give me food, clothing, shelter and medical treatment!! :D

I've been raising my kids by myself for seven years now. I have quite often worked two and three jobs at a time to avoid this exact same thing.

But why stop at food, clothing, shelter and medical benefits? Why not go on to get a free scooter from the Scooter Store?

Yeah, my brother went in, and lost like 35+lbs of fat, and gained like 50lbs of pure muscle. I saw him with no shirt on right before he went back in, and was envious cause he had washboard abs. I wonder what he will look like when he gets out here in the next few weeks.

Awesome!!! Now I can meet interesting people, get a government handout, AND ride around in a kick-ass scooter for old people!! (Seriously though, I hear what you're saying about government handouts. In reality, I'd do the same thing as you b/c to me, a handout is an indignity.)

@KYA: Damn- I hate excercise. But I guess if I'm in there, I'd better get in shape.

@macosxnerd101 Yea my mom freaked when I told her and was against it all the way. She said it was a scam and I'd never get a present. Then I got my present and she wouldn't leave me alone about sending mine out lol.

Parents are crazy. Mine are more concerned that I'd be giving my name and address to someone over the Internet than anything else. Look- they think that if I sign up for Facebook or Myspace, I'm going to get kidnapped, raped and killed, so there's not much chance of them going for my participating in SS. At least you're an adult though, so you can really do whatever you want regardless of what your mom says.
