How do you like that case bbq? I'm thinking full tower for my next build, but if I find the right mid-tower...

I like it a lot, its light and easy to move if need be, plenty of ventilation and looks quite minimal and clean. I was using an Antec Titan which is super mega solid, i now use that for my little home server.

The case on the desk is an Antec 300. Worth it for sure :)

Installed Fedora 12. Love the default wallpaper

Its sad that nVidia's driver doesn't work i.e., no desktop effects :( I'm hoping their Linux release of the 195.62 driver fixes the issue. On the bright side, my Creative X-Fi sound card has way better support from ALSA's driver compared to creative's beta driver. :)

Nice, Desktop effects always have been a pain on Fedora :), i am sure you can get them working if you install the drivers and jump through the hurdles. I found ubuntu 9.10 works out of the box and as a result i have relieved myself of the issues concerning drivers as they seem to cover just about everything needed :)

There's a problem with Fedora 12 and nVidia's 190.42 driver (Click Here for Details). I started using GNU/Linux because of Fedora Electronic Lab (http://chitlesh.fedorapeople.org/FEL/). Ubuntu does have most of this software in its repository but installing it in Fedora is way easier :)

Well what I meant was this... To install all the available EDA software I need all I have to do is run:
sudo yum groupinstall 'Electronic Lab'

I don't know think Ubuntu has a similar grouping for its EDA software. I do use Ubuntu a lot though. Mostly help my friend test it (he works for Canonical).

Nice, i wouldn't mind double monitors again, i don't use it anymore as one is 19" and one is 22" and i can't stand my workspace not to be symmetrical :o

Yea a return to your left would be good for the lappy and give you some room to write should you need to :)

ps :: nathanpc have you got a link to that background ? I like it and want it :P
