CSS hover effect

Posted 11 December 2005 - 05:00 PM

Is there a way to add a hover effect using CSS to <td> for IE

I know that the td:hover works for FireFox.

I was wondering if there was another method of hovering on TD's that is universal for most browsers besides adding onmouseover and onmouseout to the TD.

Err, I asked if there was a universal method of :hover for browsers including IE without having to resort to Javascript. But thanks for the page.

Well, then: there is no universal method as it is not supported in IE. But as usual, use the standard way, that is understood by FF, Opera and co. and use hacks (prefereably with validating css hacks) as needed for poor little IE and alike.

One of these days, IE will be standards compliant like the rest of the world...or so M$ keeps saying... :)
