Is this possible without the image turning into a blank after copy/pasting to MSPaint?

There are some utilities out there that will capture the screen shot without the movie turning into blank.
There are movie players out there that have a built in option to capture a screen shot just from the movie. I know BSPlayer is one, and a whole bunch of others I cant think of right now.

How do I get to the clip to open if RealPlayer is the automatic default or if I can't save the .ram file to my hard drive? In other words, there is no way to get BSPlayer to play the file.

Well, .ram files are just for realplayer. There is little to no other players that can play .ram files. Im not sure about this, but I think Movie Maker can import .ram files, with that you can take screen shots.

All you have to do is turn of "overlays" in the player you are using. Overlays are created by directx after a screen has been rendered...
Turn that off and you can do as many screenshots as ya want.

None of these do anything. I tried Amic Screen Capture v1.2 and it acted the same as RealPlayer, copying the image as a black screen.

Yes. Where is the overlay option in a RealPlayer?

Paste some thing paper on the screen and trace it then scan it. Works 100% of the time.

As I hate both RealPlayer and Quicktime bloatware things, I was happy to find the Real Alternative and Quicktime Alternative codecs. If you install these you can watch their respective formats in other more able players, like the included Mediaplayer Classic, that even happens to be able to take screenshots.
I think this is pretty much about it.
Btw, does anyone know the official site of these codecs?

Cool idea, lol...I prefer that way!
For good codecs, I recommend K-Lite Codec Pack...comes packaged with Divx/Xvid/Mpg1/2/3/4, etc very useful I use it myself.
