I am currently looking for the below for one of my clients. They have a total of four spots available so there is plenty to go around. The positions are open due to growth. They are direct hire permanent positions. The max salary is 90k plus bonus. Location is Towson MD no relocation assistance is provided.

Job Title: Software Engineer

Job Description: Programming and maintaining C/C++ and MATLAB code for use by Research. This includes supporting time series objects, basic statistics code, graphing functions, simulations, basic database queries, unit testing and reporting functions.

Reporting to: Manager of Software Development

Duties:
• Development and maintenance of current software base
• Assist in designing/refactoring the software code base for production use
• Testing, deployment and support of production code
• Suggest ways to more effectively accomplish our computerized tasks

Required Qualifications:
• 2-4 years proven experience with a compiled or scripting language
• Self-motivated and possesses a good work ethic
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented
• Good communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to collaborate with others on software projects
• Ability to work well without supervision
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Excellent software development habits/practices
• Experience in software testing, deployment and support

Desired Qualifications:
• Programming experience in C/C++, MATLAB, Java or .NET
• Experience in full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience working with a large body of legacy code
• Experience with modern software development tools (revision control, testing frameworks, build scripts/tools, issue/bug/defect tracking, collaborative tools, …)
• Technical undergraduate or Master’s Degree (Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, …)
• Working knowledge of financial data (Bloomberg, Reuters, FAME, FactSet, …)
