Just can't take them seriously
I think the episode of Family Guy where Peter joins the London Silly Nannies just finished ruining it for me too. So now every time I talk to gabehabe I imagine him dancing around a pole with a ribbon while singing like a homo. XD
Just can't take them seriously

Nah. I've always teased Danny. But I do think of the London Silly Nannies all the time now.
And it's not a rationalization, just an example lol.

I don't know that I can learn better in any particular way than any other particular way. I'm kind of of the opinion that 'learning styles' are just convenient excuses for not trying hard enough if the material presented doesn't hold your attention- kind of a result of an intrinsic organization system that many of us have that isn't very effective.

@Choscura Well sir you are an ass. That's like saying "You're not learning because you're not trying hard enough". Never be a teacher, you would be like 90% of my Instructors, and that's awful.
"What do you mean you don't learn anything from me reading a power point presentation in a monotone voice, I thought that you could learn from any teaching style"

But a powerpoint presentation is the bost of both worlds. You have pictures and someone reading it
. We had powerpoints in Java class, so we could do all 3 styles at the same time
And I do not beat the crap outta babies. D=<

for me it depends on the material, if its math or programming then i first have to understand the concept, then do a lot of practice, and by screwing up a few times, i start to know why this approach is better than this other approach. For other material that requires memorization, i first try to understand the material to make it easier to memorize as i dont like to just blindly memorize like some people, then i write down notes and mnemonics to help me out..
