I was up until 4am last night trying to fix my uncles computer, mainly just alot of spyware/adware/malware/etc
Anyway, the last thing I did was change some stuff in the registry to allow right click --> properties again, and to allow him to change the background
then the next mourning when I started up the PC and downloaded a Registry Cleaner and double clicked the .exe It immediatly went to the BSOD. I've also tested this with multiple .exe files, all the same.

Any chance you may have inadvertantly changed something you should not have in the registry?

I seriously doubt it, I was only changing reg's following online tutorials, and even then I was only changing the data from (1) to (0), I doubt theres a

If there's a BSOD on starting every exe...It'd be better to reinstall Windows...safe.

I ended up just doing a system restore to a point where windows had automatically saved the day before.
