Look into the "transparencykey" property of forms - the key (hehe :D) is to make a bitmap which is colored in a certain, rare color (like green) whereever you want it to be transparent... So make a bitmap the same size of your form, and color the "edges" in green. Then set it to be the background image of your form and the transparency key of your form to that exact color.

Feel free to use mine :P

It's not a very straightforward process. The design of the form is inherited from the system. What Leisure is suggesting is actually an accepted method, but is by no way the "correct" or professional way.

Using an image, you'd then have to reprogram pretty much all other aspects the form. This would include the Maximize, minimize, and restore buttons. You'd also have to program how the is moved when dragged.

The only thing I can think of would be to use Microsoft's Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), which would then utilize XAML to include the proper images. Also, you'd need to custom make the images in a program such as Photoshop.

Suffice to say, this task is not a simple one.
