Not logging in

My system is not logging in. While restarting the system, it shows only login face book that too has only the icon ' Microsoft Windows' with no selecting option to go inside, (but mouse pointer is moving).
Using OS is Windows XP Proff 2
Pls help in this regard. I would appreciate if any overcome this problem.

I have no idea what this means. Can you please describe a little more accurately, or provide a photo?
