Job description:

Seeking a lead Application and Integration Architect capable of defining overall architecture of a large scale, high-volume SOA-based web application. Must be able to lead application design, solve system level issues as well as execute the physical implementation. Must be able to mentor others and lead offshore development teams. Primary Responsibilities: Work with business stakeholders to align business strategy with project deliverables Formulate approach documents, statements of work, estimates, and project plans Working with other architects, and application designers to design service-oriented applications Assist in development of architecturally significant or high-risk aspects of the project Creation and management of architecture models and associated documentation Participate in governance and oversight of program application architecture and system design Coordinate and collaborate with other program architects to assure alignment with Enterprise Architecture team, Business Unit Architecture teams and other project teams Assist in program management, team and work coordination, and mentoring Lead offshore development groups in the design, implementation and integration of new software Participate in quality and performance reviews

Requirements:

10 plus years of Application Development in a large enterprise environment 10 plus years of Application Architecture in a large enterprise environment Strong communication skills Experience in project and component estimating Experience Object-Oriented design and analysis Experience with UML modeling Experience implementing applications on the J2EE platform, including experience using JSP, EJB, Message-Driven Beans and Ajax Experience designing web services and service-based applications (SOA) Experience building, deploying and integrating applications with a portal application Experience with the following technology platforms, frameworks, and languages: UNIX, Wintel, J2EE/Java, XML, AJAX and Spring Desired Skills: Experience working on cross functional, inter-departmental and offshore development teams Relevant health care experience and familiarity with HIPPA data privacy requirements Experience with portal infrastructure implementations Experience Directory Services infrastructure implementation (SiteMinder and LDAP) Experience with ESB concepts and technologies Familiar with AJAX or other asynchronous web technologies Experience defining governance processes for application development and integration Experience with iterative development processes, such as Agile, Extreme Programming (XP), or Rational Unified Process (RUP) JSF Experience with the following technologies: IBM Websphere Application Server 6.x, IBM MQ Series, Netegrity Siteminder, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, Vignette Content Management LDAP, PL SQL, SQL Transact, BPL, mule
