lol programming with perl, a hacker's book? And if your son is dressing like that, I'd sooner consider him as a pimp than a hacker. Generally you'd figure hackers are somewhat intelligent, so you wouldn't see his grades dropping. If anything, I'd predict them to go up. And I've gotten so much computer radiation I now have 5 limbs, 7 fingers on one hand, two mouths, and both a female and male genitalia.

Edit: and I forgot to include my eight years in an AMD sweatshop.

The article was a joke, peeps. It's a dude. With six kids. His wife is Carol. One of his son's is Peter (I'll bet he was the middle son). His youngest daughter was Cindy (and I'll bet she always wore pigtails fashioned into curls). I would also bet the family had a housekeeper named Alice and an annoying four-eyed cousin named Oliver. And I bet they all said "groovy" and "neat-o" quite a bit.

if my mom ever read this she would take a hammer to my computer,
1) i've asked for a different ISP becuase are fist 1 was slow as shit
2) i have my own computer that she never looks at and i install programs on it regularly
3) i built several computers and tend to blow all my money are new hard ware or when im lucky a new computer with all new hardware and a new OS :)
4) i asked for the dragon book 2ed(purple dragon book) for my birthday
5) i spend most of my free time on a computer
6) well i don't use quake but i play every other game on the market
7) i've been argumentative sense i could talk
8) not obsessed but i use it and she knows it
9) no i haven't changed my appearance at all so i won't give that one any credit
10) this one doesn't fit either, nor dose it make sense.

still 8 out of 10, im pretty sure that my mom would confront me with a chainsaw if she read this. to put it in short terms my mom is an English teacher and i didn't inherent my logical skills from her...

edit: you would think that if they would write this they would take the time to get the correct terminology ... it "cracker" not "hacker" most of us are hackers and possible some of us are crackers.

p.s. this was my 1000th post :)

There needs to be an auto-lock on threads if they get X old without a new post, this is ridiculous. This is back when I still made fun of elite speak and had dial-up, wtf.

This article was funny like six years ago haa haa.. It's almost as dated as all your base.

we discussed this in the forum leader's forum but nothing came out of it that i was aware of, you may want to inform skyhawk or an admin/moderator. it is a real problem and i didn't even realize i had a hand in the issue until you mentioned it. if you would like something done about it post in the site suggestion forum :)
