I was thinking we could have a status thing like on myspace, facebook and twitter. You type in your status, and it will show up under your avatar. And maybe a "Dream in Code IM Service" It could be online or be a downloaded program so you can chat live with other members of DIC that are logged on. I think they are pretty good, aand practical ideas.

Sweet! But what do you think about the IM part? We could have seperate chat rooms for diffrent topics like C#, python, caffeine, ect. It would be "live" forums kinda.

We have an IRC chat room now that nobody uses. Chat has never worked well here

I like the IRC - I just wish it was more active, I would be more active if it was. Sad thing is no one here wants to communicate that way.

Lol probably. Everyone I talk to is on Twitter, so it's okay. Twitter is just a giant irc on my phone

Well, I meant something similar to AIM, a little application with diffrent rooms. Or even an online application, where, similar to forums here, you click on it and you can make chat rooms the same way you would make a topic, and this way everything is live, no more refreshing. It wouldnt even be to hard to make, just more time to perfect. Maybe start out with a beta, and see how it works out.

How do you not see the point? Are you mentally impaired? It is more efficient becuase you can do things quicker and easier.

Now, why go and offend someone when they showed a valid point. Lack of argumentation? How is Skype, AIM, Live Messenger or any other IM system not enough for you?

becuase, not everyone here has those programs, and it is easier if DIC had there own. Facebook has IM so that you can talk to your freinds instead of telling all of them to get AIM. DIC should do the same.
