im not sure if i completely understand what u mean by adding a table like excel....but maybe this will give u a push in the right direction

 <Grid>
	   <Grid.RowDefinitions>
		<RowDefinition Height="37"></RowDefinition>
		<RowDefinition Height="*"></RowDefinition>
	   </Grid.RowDefinitions>
			<Menu Height="37" BorderBrush="AliceBlue"  grid.row="0" grid.column="0" grid.rowspan="1" BorderThickness="4" Background="White" Name="menu1" VerticalAlignment="Top">
				<MenuItem Header="Main"  BorderThickness="2" Width="90">
					<!--lets draw  main menu items-->
					<MenuItem Header="Start Server" x:Name="startserver" Click="startserver_Click"  />
					<MenuItem Header="Stop Server" x:Name="stopserver" Click="stopserver_Click" />
					<Separator></Separator>
	  </MenuItem>
</Menu>

<Button margin="10" grid.row="1" Content="Hi there"></Button>
</Grid>
