pleaz help me

hi,i don,t even know if am in the right area to find out what it is i need to do to get my computer out of this mode,that is how computer illiterate i am but i aim to change that, so can someone ,anyone tell me what state my computer is in by the screen shot on my monitor when the computer is plugged in,exactly what is it doing and how do i advance it into a working state again,many thanx angus

I would say, insert the disk for your OS (looks like a old computer) what type of computer do you have?

Actually I remember this screen on IBM's.

Certainly it's telling you that you need a boot disk.

It's telling you to insert a bootable floppy and press F1 to continue. If this machine has/had a Hard Disk it is apparently failing for some reason and the system is not able to find any bootable media. It could be something as simple as a cable isn't plugged into the drive (power, ide) or something as bad as the drive has crashed and reached the end of its life.

If it doesn't have a hard drive, then either your floppy boot disk or the floppy drive itself is bad.

Once you see his post about why his pirated XP install doesn't work, you'll see that straightforward ... well, isn't simple enough.

This topic is an example that even picture instructions don't explain the situation well enough.
