Hey all, I'm new here so thought I'd introduce myself.

My name is Holly, I live in Canada, and I'm a full-time web developer for an educational institution. We use ASP but on the side I'm learning Perl too. I've been writing HTML and building sites for over 4 years.

I'm 23... I noticed that some of you are quite a bit younger than that so I feel a bit old. What's the average age around here?

Hi Holly, thanks for introducing yourself, I'm the webmaster 'round these here parts and I'd just like to warn ya that because you are a 23 year old female, you will cause quite the riot in here as most of the member are about 16 and are all desperate geeks, well most of them.

So what kinda music you listen to? What is there to do in Canada?

At work I listen to Echo (echo.com) which gives me just about anything I want to hear... anything but country, techno, and rap, which I loathe!

In Canada we do pretty much all the same things you guys do in the US (I'm assuming most of you are in the US). Just think of Canada as a slightly more apathetic and quirky America, and you'll have the basic idea. No, we don't live in igloos. In fact, it might surprise you guys to hear that Canada has had broadband longer and more extensively than even the US (something I'm proud of).

Chris I was looking at your website. You do some great work. I'm impressed.

My name is Will, i'm 19, I live in SF, CA,  and I'm a New Media major at the Academy of Art college.  I'm a Flashaholic.  I like taking long walks on the beach, wait ####, wrong window.  ;)

Hi Will,

you're a Flashaholic, eh? (that "eh" is one of my Canadian quirks) I've done a few things with Flash but nothing major; the artistic/creative end of things isn't my strongest point, although I can identify what looks good and what doesn't. :P Actually my biggest Flash project to date is a virtual tour of the college where I work. It's super functional, but you'd probably think it's too tame...lol. A good learning experience, anyway.

How's the weather in Sunny CA? I love california. My mom lived in Larkspur, outside of San Rafael, for a year. Nice area!
