Few things i have noticed from new users is that they complain me about this forum for being messy.

- Two navigations (top, left), two bulky lists of links (center, right) and then a thread (middle bottom). It does get better when looking longer, but there is just too much going on. The two navigations are confusing

- The yellow bar at the top and the "Live Help!" bar at the right should be gone. They draw a lot of attention and make it hard to focus on the important things.

- Also the search form sucks, the "Search" should be in smaller print. That huge "Search" distracts from the navigation, the login and just everything close to it which is more important.

- Also the "Updated!" and the "Over XXX pages!" should be gone. It bulks up text even more and makes it harder to get a short view of things in that messy top right corner.

These are words from a guy who first time came to the site. So how the heck you think would messy 3D work out on a forum? Really dude, go and learn some web designing, 3D is not for it!

If you get a DIC++ account, the ads will be gone.

Don't worry, most of us aren't.

it was directed at those who are.

Yeah.. tots change the color scheme so my bosses don't walk by and their eyes are attracted to the stunning yet powerful color header... maybe something that looks like reports or code.. nice text on a white background....

In a 3d world we can have a slider bar to make it more or less opaque on demand.

Really? Failed in what? What did i loose? Popularity?

Its strange that most of you people claim to be not serious on the Caffeine Lounge and serious on the other sections.

4) We are a help site, not a bleeding edge interface, or programming research site. This site is not designed for all the greatest minds in programming to congregate and improve the site and the world. If that's what you're looking for, I suggest UC Berkley or MIT. Yeah we have some really smart members, and some incredibly smart members, but guess what, we all have jobs, and school, and real lives. We enjoy helping, but there is a world beyond Dream in Code for all (well, most) of us.

What is this "real lives" you speak of?
