So just a few hours ago I ordered two brand new Dell UltraSharp 1907FP (http://reviews.cnet.com/Dell_UltraSharp_1907FP/4505-3174_7-31694881.html?tag=pdtl-list) which I am very much looking forward to and will report on in full in about a week. however, in the mean time, i am currently running two video cards, one agp radeon 9000 (vga) and one, 8meg ati rage pro (i can hear your screams all the way over here, and yes it is obviously vga)
SO HERE IS MY QUESTION FOR YOU, i am looking for recommendations on a new video card, i would prefer an ati, but thats not set in stone. i would also like 2 outputs so i can get rid of that stupid second card. preferably both outputs would be dvi since my monitors will be dvi capable from the get go, but i know that doesn't always mean thats how things work out. other than that the only things i would prefer is no more than 200 bucks (but i am flexible), and hopefully something linux would recognize both outputs on from the start (i might jump head first into that pretty soon)
(side note: this is also the last step into making my machine completely badass, it's already got a 3.0ghz hyper threaded p4, with a gig of ram, and i have room to spare on that. once i get a video card worth a shit this thing will be MEAN)
Bought new monitors, need new video card.
