I never understood why in some countries the short date is writen in the form of mm/dd/yyyy.... anybody? It just doesn't make sense to me. Shouldn't it go in descending order of precision? ie. dd/mm/yyyy

Just like time.. hh:mm:ss .. you don't put minutes after seconds :P
