Help me Understand this. Decision Instructions

Hi there, I've a homework question that i don't really understand. It says:
What instructions allows computer to make a decision?
I don't really know how to answer this because I can't figure out whether i should use the decision control structures
in programming or not. The Course I'm taking is Microprocessors and so i don't really know what
the Lecturer expects as answer.
Please I would really appreciate it if you could point me at the right direction.

I think you want to look into "branch instructions".
