Filezilla server

Posted 23 April 2006 - 06:23 PM

hi i need some help with filezilla software...

i have just installed the filezilla server...

i have no idea how to connect to it...this is the first time i am setting up an FTP client server program so please i will be grateful if anyone of you can help.

i have specified a user and given him a password...

i want to test if it works...

also i got some info from www.pcmech.com it gives me the url given below.

what do i type in place of 'server' and 'address'
for ftp://user:[email protected]

do i need a Filezilla client to access...

thanks

Any FTP client will do to access, it does not have to be Filezilla.

As for the server.address portion, you have to replace that with the address (or domain) of the server you have set up. What is the domain of the server? Or are you trying to implement this on a local machine?

Yeah, you can use the IP address if you're not running an actual domain...you may also want to check if your firewall (or that on the client machine) is preventing a connection...can I assume you've configured as described here?
