well it would be simalar in taste and texture to beef but since cows are sacred to Hindu's that isnt a good compairison.

in the 1940's here deer were hunted to near extinction. due to successful conservation the population has grown to the point that there is basically no limit during deer season ( because they will starve otherwise )

Deer car collissions are a big problem here and they dont put a dent in the population.
