yes, that's THE budget, could you kindly show me where we've gone overbudget? or how the national debt we are building is caused by this budget? this healthcare bill was shown today by the OMB to save 120 billion over the next decade and a trillion in the following decade, yet i've never once heard the people who complain about 'debts' or 'budgets' say anything positive about how that will effect the national debt.
oh look i found this http://www.washingto...9032100104.html

Based on that diagram we aren't disagreeing. In fact, the "white house estimate" from that diagram comes from the budgets I linked.

Laws, laws, and more laws. More taxes to go with these laws when does it end? We can't get much further in debt - Obama is not helping the cause either. (but that is for a different discussion all-together)
neither did his predecessor, why is that always the knock on obama? i would actually like to know what debt he is responsible for. i have absolutely no idea, but everyone cites it all the time. i'd appreciate it if you could post it if you have it.
Let's have a looksee here...

According to this article in the WSJ by Karl Rove - Obama has already doubled Bush from 8 years of running up debt. Why is it every time someone says Obama everyone is all like "Ooh no he didn't - this is leftover from Bush"
Why is the unemployment rate up to over 10% in Ohio? Why is Drew Carey campaigning to save the struggling city of Cleveland? Why is it that because it is nice out my gas now cost $2.89 a gallon right now? Enough with the Bush administration already. Obama has been talking shit for quite some time now - wanna show me what he has done to bring about this HOPE? I want links? I want figures.... I want a real president!

I see, I thought the tables at the end of the budget would be sufficient for "figures".

I talk on my phone while driving, but I never text. People keep calling me, & I'm often on the road. If this were twitter, I'd throw a pound sign followed by the word obligation. Something like the following :

to be honest, once i saw you posted the budget from omb i just thought it was a blow off link and didn't read any of the individual files.
i think i was looking for more of a comparison of this last year year to what had come before it. that probably wasn't fair of me since i didn't really state that.
you guys are right, he has doubled the budget for a country already in the hole. i think i just personally don't give a shit anymore. after years and years of spending a trillion dollars on bullshit wars while cutting taxes for the upperclass, i'd rather just have someone spending money on other things for a change. is that irresponsible long-term? quite possibly. so was everything previously, and the shit storm we're in now isn't the cause of any of this new spending, and a lot of it has been to try and get out of said shit storm.
when it comes down to it, you can't blame obama for anything without giving fair blame to what came before. bush got the same set of rules after clinton. politics blows. i'm sick of all of them.

I agree with supersloth. It's the snowball effect. The blame continues to roll downhill. Politics - bleh. I'm curious as to how we'll manage to dig ourselves out of this mess.
OT: Always wear my seat belt. I can't sit in a car without feeling like something is missing if I haven't put it on yet. I got pretty intimate with a dashboard once when I was a wee lil' one, and I'm not too keen on repeating that experience. Plus, I really don't want my FF's that I dispatch to have to scrape me up off the street.

We should also take note that Bush entered office with a budget surplus, which is really really really really really rare. Then the republicans said "INCREASE BENEFITS, DECREASE TAXES!!! YARGHHH!!!" They also decided it would be a fantastic idea to start a lengthy war in the middle of slashing taxes. Then Obama said "help a brotha out."
Here is a graph just to show you I don't fuck around:

I also agree with sloth on this one. I usually agree with sloth, especially when it comes to tacos.
Without some sort of healthcare reform to stop crappy government spending on medicare (and just benefit cuts in general) as well as tax increases, we might just be screwed.
