Posted 25 March 2010 - 05:00 AM

Hi,

This is pavaman I am reading a 24 bit Colour bmp image and converting it to intensity plane. After writing it it is giving me 3 images in the same size. Can any one help me to get out of this?

Alright, from what I can gather you are trying to convert a 24 bit bmp image into an 8 bit bmp image? If that is right then it makes sense that you are getting 3 different images. From what little research I did in the past 10 seconds I gather that you are seeing the three different channels that make up the 24 bit image (Red, Blue, Green) each of these is 8 bits.

Now I am not sure what you are asking but I suppose you should just choose whichever of those look the best and go with it if that is what you are wanting to do..
