UK Summer Knife amnesty

Posted 26 May 2006 - 11:29 AM

HA HA

Someones mommy government dosent trust them with sharp objects.

BBC ARTICLE

Quote

He said: "Normal law-abiding citizens will give the knives up if they've had some stored in the garage or in a shelf or a cupboard or somewhere. But I don't think it will stop the criminals from carrying knives.

So if you turn in the knives in your cupboard how can you cut your steak.

The next legislation will be a mandatory cork on every fork so that you dont accidently stab your self in the eye.

According to my history teacher, british people have the ultimate freedom of expression. He says that they even go as far as putting stands on street corners for people who want to publicly complain or whatever. What they gave to freedom of speech was taken out of the freedom to cut a steak with a knife that works.

I would turn in bags of plastic knives just to mess with them.

uh target practice, recreation, hunting (animals) which does affirm your opinion on huritng animals but i dont give a damn, a number of other things. i'm into building guns and designing more efficient ones, so education for me.

what i was trying to say was that it is not worth someones life risking handing over a gun to someone.

uh,there can be other means of recreation than target practice and hurting animals

are we arguing this shit again. i like guns and i will have guns for as long as it's legal for me to and nothing is going to stop me. it's all personal preference and i prefer to be firing, building and designing guns more than i do to be programming or whatever all of you other folks like to do. the fact is this knife thing isn't as big of a deal as the article is leading on because we've done crap like this here 'without fear of persecution' and the actual relative quantity of people who participate is pretty freaking low
