How to connect PERL to a database and localhost

Hi! I would just like to ask on how to connect PERL to a localhost (can you please give me the site? is it php admin? xaamp? or waamp?)


Please give me sample programs for PERL particularly ONLINE SHOPPING..

Your question is... not particularly clear. However, I suspect that your first issue is that you will not be able to connect to any service on localhost unless localhost (i.e., the computer that your Perl code is running on) is also running that service. In other words, if you want to connect to a website on localhost, you have to be running a web server (Apache, IIS, etc.); if you want to connect to a mail service on localhost, you have to be running an MTA ("Mail Transport Agent" - sendmail, exim, etc.); if you want to make an ftp connection to localhost, you have to be running an ftp daemon; etc.
