A friend of mine had a message window to reinstall her Norton anti-virus software because it wasn't working properly, but when she went to the Control Panel to uninstall the program, there were no programs listed. The computer is also running very slow and she cannot get on the Internet. Does anyone know if this can be fixed without formatting the hard drive and reinstalling Windows ME?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

This could be a number of items...most notaly that the machine is riddled with virus programs or spyware/adware.
When the Add/Remove programs was opened, did your friend allow an appropriate time for population? The search for installed applications sometimes takes a few seconds, and if the machine isrunning slowly, it may take even longer.

Ok I don't know if this helps, and im assuming you savvy enough to realize something like this, but is there a scrollbar? Something... and i have no idea what... has left a giant blank space in my 'add remove programs' screen. I could fit like 30 entries in that blank spot, but when i scroll down far enough they are all there still.. no clue why the space is there though...
maybe check for this?

I currently have the problem you are talking about. The scrollbar has dissapeared and there is a giant blank space after 3 or 4 listings then when I use the arrow keys to scroll through the entries I come upon the rest of the entries after keying past the blank space. Have you got a method for fixing this problem?

Hi everyone.!
This is my first time on this site
I would like to tell what I really like this project this
I've been reading it for a while, and I have learned so much here
So, I decided to try my luck asking a few questions...
How can you IM, PM or whatever you call it to certain members?
I'd like to ask more questions about this project.
By the way, nice domain name www.dreamincode.net

Hey PolZegerully, Welcome to Dream in Code. This is actually the wrong forum to be doing an introduction, everyone would be more welcoming if you introduce yourself in our 'Introduce Yourself' forum which can be found at - http://www.dreaminco...showforum65.htm
Since your introduction didn't have anything to do with the subject of this thread, I'm going to go ahead and close it.
