alright, alright, alright, alright, alright

Still not too terribly usefull if the rest of the system (ie, memory) can't keep up.

Has anyone here even thought about the term "tera-hertz"? Not even in my wildest dream I haven't, although I have thought of putting a p3 600 mhz in my freezer and overclocking it to 4 ghz.

Agreed with the bus speeds as slow as they are, we will never fully utilize that CPU speed to its fullest extent.

Who would ever need a whole 5 MB od hard disk space. You could store the entire library of congress on that thing.

true story. ( My father in law said that when IBM introduced the HD for their PC )

If we could get 128k of ram we would have this thing beat. (once again my father in law)

That is crazy.

And it will be possible for other things to catch up, it will just take a long long time till then

This kinda makes it so that CPU speed is no longer a problem to deal with, now its only advancing the bus and transfer speeds for the mobos. It probably wouldn't take too long for the other components to catch up, or at least make bigger jumps in technology.

Next we'll need frozen RAM, a frozen HD, and then everything in the computer will need to be frozen.

the only problem with extreme cooling is moisture. lots of sealants and other techniques are required. neoprene
