VirtualBox provides USB support, use that instead. You will need a legal copy of Windows.

Wine will generally not work with your USB devices, sorry. :(

You can use most Linux media players (Rhythmbox, Banshee, Amarok) to transfer songs and videos to your iPod, but obviously if you want to use the iTunes store you are SOL.

Looks like some people did somehow get Wine + iTunes to work. It's for an older version but might still be worth a look.

Why don't you just stick with Windows? Using Wine is like living in denial unless it's for a specific application.

Just a heads up but if your computer would have trouble running Windows then running it in a virtual machine isn't going to work very well.

What kind of specs do you have now? I realize not everyone has money to spend on things like this, but some more RAM is really cheap and can really improve the performance of your computer. :)
