Windows 7 applications look weird

Posted 18 April 2010 - 11:40 AM

Last week, Paint worked and looked perfectly. This week it looks all messed up and I lose the pretty windows 7 view I've grown attracted to =/

I'm assuming a virus did it, but AVG hasn't detected anything, so idk what to tell you =P

I thought of reinstalling paint, but it has this problem with other applications as well, and i can't find an install file for windows 7 paint >_>;;

Attached is the screenshot of the problem i'm having T.T

Have you gone in and checked your themes to see if they have changed at all? Have you also run your Windows Experience Index score calculations again? My guess is that either your theme settings got messed up or your windows experience index score was recalculated and Windows thought you had too low of a score graphics wise to support Aero effects.

Make sure your video card didn't change drivers either because that could cause windows to say "Oh his graphics card doesn't support Aero, so I have to change the visual themes I can do"

I don't think it has to do with the actual programs. Just look at your themes and graphics settings under windows 7.

:)

Nope, the themes are the same, and Aero is still working. The taskbar is Aero, and it works fine, though i've started to notice that it gets "stuck" down there. Like you know how if you mouse over it, it'll show the name of the program? It does that everytime I move up from there.

EDIT: you were right, it was something wrong with the theme (though I don't know what... =/ )The taskbar still "sticks" though
