If you take a look through some of the older posts on this forum, I seem to recall having helped someone with a Perl calculator program a month or two ago. That could give you some example code to work from.

Aside from that, the general answer to questions like yours is: "Just give it a try. When you run into problems, show us your code, tell us how it doesn't work, and we'll help you straighten it out, but this isn't a code-writing service, so you need to make an attempt on your own first."
