trying to learn some c# so i can assist my company's developers and such.

here for a hand from time to time (hopefully not often)

We were all newbs at one time :) It's really impossible to not have been one. & really, we're all going to be newbs at new things going forward!

I personally think you should learn a scripting language to assist C# devs. Trust me when I say this, it will not take you that long and people will actually pay you.

On the other hand C# can take years. But while hard, definitely is not impossible.
