Well Javascript is a client side scripting language. It is not able to communicate with a database on the server. PHP is a server side scripting language. Get where I'm going? I would check a different topic :)

It would be a lot easier for you do describe what you know about
drop down boxes and what you want to put into them and what you
want to do with the results when an item has been selected.

Then we can post corrections or suggestions for improvement.

Drop down creation tutorials are available online with a google search. They are also covered in a good JS book. Have you tried looking at the library?
