usb interface using c++

im working on project to control a toy car using c++ i have done all the programing to control it using c++ but through the parallel port but this is not good because i cant use my laptop because there is no parallel ports in laptops any i have to use usb port.
my quastion is: is there any way to access usb using c++ through DOS?
what i need to do that?
is there any proper instruction or not?

try a usb to parallel converter just plug and install the driver. When I program serial devices I use a usb to serial connector and works fine. As for your question, normally DOS would not support USB, but probably you could map the device. Anyway I believe this solution would cause more headaches.
