I just wanted to say that I observed the previous conversation in the last Static vs Dynamic IP Post. There was a guy that had some questions regarding static addresses and using a Wi-Fi connection. I just wanted to add some input regarding the feedback he received. It was obvious that he did not know alot about networking. The point is that he never said he did he just had a simple question and was trying to get help. I'm in IT and I try to help people even if they are not complete versed in a particular technology. I try to encourage them on what they do know and add value and information that will build them up. I can not stand IT people that talk down on people that don't understand what they know. To me it is a form of low self esteem and the compensation and trade off is making other people feel stupid. I think you know who you are so if I where you I would take it easy on non technical people. I hope you don't treat you clientele that way.

If this is the thread in question I personally do not see how that could have been handled any other way. You can't feign ignorance when you hop onto someone's unsecured wifi connection.

Hey Bro. I see the point but he was corrected and he actually felt bad/stupid about it. You can tell by his replies. The problem I saw was how people continued to want to make him feel worse.

And it was closed as soon as a mod saw the extraneous tomfoolery going on.
