Hi
I was thinking to buy a new processor but I need some Help on selecting the processor type
1. Celeron D
2. Dual Core
3. Core 2 Duo
Ok I know every thing about core 2 duo
but can you tell me the difference between a dual core , a pentium D and a celeron d
So as per my intel I was thinking to buy a dual core (because core 2 duo is tooo costly(i spent my pocket money on a new mobile phone))
What do you think ?

What socket?
I have an e5200 dual core. It's cheap (65 USD) and you can easily overclock it to 3ghz.

Some people have overclocked it even further, but of course the maximum speed is limited by what your motherboard and cooling can handle.
----------
Celeron D is a budget processor that is honestly not worth the money. Small cache, runs very hot despite poor performance. If you know where you look you can get a decent Pentium 4 with HT used for about the same price (20-30 USD on Amazon).
