Problem with B) Emoticon

Guys, maybe one of you could have a word in the right ear about this site's 'B bug'. I'm now going to put a lower case 'b' inside brackets...

and there we are - instantly (and incorrectly) capitalized - something to do with emoticons?

If you click post options and uncheck enable emoticons, then it works just fine.

OK, but that's a kludge isn't it? ;)

It's a either a bug or a feature. Why would i want a capital B in brackets as opposed to an image if it's a feature?
