1 . Alright I've got this weird problem of
"Keyboard not found press f1 to continue...checking of NVram"
Basically my keyboard is not working during boot up only. Although it says press f1 to continue, it will automatically proceed after like 2 seconds to load my linux operating system. From then on, my keyboard works perfectly fine.
I'm on dual boot so the 1st choice is my linux OS so during the selection countdown(10secs) I cannot select to boot into winxp since the keyboard don't work and it just automatically loads linux after the countdown.
Going into the BIOS is also not an option because the keyboard don't work during boot up so there is no way to get in there.
Please advice on what should I do.
2.
Second question I have. So i'm doing a forum as a school project. As I have winxp using virtualbox in linux, I am able to "not upgrade" my IE as I need it to be the same IE6 version that my school use. My friend upgraded to IE8 so he is not able to see some problems that I see(which is not possible to show using screenshots). I want him to be able to view and control (or just view) my screen. Is this possible?

Plug in a keyboard, enter your bios (possibly by hitting F2 or F10, depending on brand) & set 'error reporting' to none or all but keyboard.

You can set this up with VNC or RDP. The browser is irrelevant.

Skype chat also allows for screen sharing. I've used it on occassion.

Thank for the quick reply but my keyboard is already plugged in.
I'm using a ps/2 keyboard. So I am unable to access the bios because the keyboard don't work during boot up!
Edit so it is like...my keyboard is working perfectly after the OS loads but during boot up it was not detected.

yeah it is weird but few days since the error happened i am still happily using my keyboard but it just don't work during boot up ...so there is absolutely no way to access the bios. The num lock key don't show any lights during boot up too...it only shows the light when my os loads.
I'm left with like 2 solutions from what i've researched....change to a usb keyboard...if still doesn't work, change the cmos battery or something.

Certainly it can't be a difficult task to find a spare PS2 keyboard. Do you live near any thrift stores? They are usually like $1 or $2.
** ACK! **
Sorry, that's US
But I'm sure you can find a friend, family member, or co-worker that has one to spare for five minutes?

Gah, it's too bad I can't attach one of the many ps/2 keyboards I have laying around to this post.
I'm not sure where they all came from, but I have accumulated quite the supply.
