You can download a copy of Beta 2 for free too, and you dont have to answer questions.

Yeah but I'd rather waste 10 minutes of my time and have a hard copy that I could potentially sell to some noobies at school.

I've been running Beta 1 and Beta 2 for a while, scoping out the differences. I must admit i absolutely love the 'new' search (atleast in windows, lol)
Still need some companies to come out with Vista drivers though

Many people feel that Visat will not be big new thing becasue M$ had to remove all the really advanced features to meet release dates, like the new shell, the new search, etc...
Vista does have some eye popping new visual changes, but no real 'new' functionality (nothing big). And given the amount of resources needed to run the OS with optinmal efficiency, it is unlikely that most people will do an upgrade - much of it's adoption will come through new machine Sales.
Everyone has their own view - if people want it, they should use it. I don't personally think it will have the adoption of XP (since it's really just XP service pak 3), but to each his/her own!

Exactly
If you remember Win ME it looked like XP had the fat 32 file system and all the bugs of a unpatched copy of 98 SE.
Vista was supposed to be this super cool OS that had all theese cool features and they were going from the ground up rebulding everything..
Then they started axing functionality and replacing it with the same functionality that XP pro does. So at the most all I can think it will be is a skin for XP pro with some media center functionality added.
