Yesterday, without no good reason(Show the clock option was checked), my system tray's Clock disappeared. I wasn't bothered because I have a wrist watch on all the time.
But after some time, things got worse.. The whole system tray disappeared.
The problem was gone when I restarted the system. But today, it's occurring, in the same fashion. It appears that this problem occurs after I close a full screen application.

At first, I thought it to be a resolution problem, but all other windows are being shown normally at that edge of the screen.

System restore isn't an option for me(no checkpoints).

Any help would be appriciated.

I would check your registry settings for Group Policy settings, &/or scan for malware.

Windows XP Service Pack 3.

Well, I've noticed that the problem occurs only when I play Counter Strike : Condition Zero and not any other Full Screen App(I've tried a few others but nothing happened).

So I take that as a problem of the game.

Ah.

In that case then when you are done playing the game I would suggest launching taskmgr, locate & kill explorer.exe, & then relaunch it by clicking file, new task, explorer.exe -> ok.
