fun stuff - software keyboard/mouse switcher

Posted 24 August 2006 - 07:38 AM

So, this new job is sweet. I have an office, leather chair, a cat, the works. Anyways, I have to work on PC's here. It is sad. The IT guy tells me there is a G4 sitting in a closet. He then tells me of a neat piece of software. Basically, I'll have dual monitors set up next to each other. I move the mouse as if I were switch screens on a normaly dual monitor system, but it'll run the mac when I move screens over. I can do all my coding and most testing on the PC, and do all my design + itunes on mac. This is exciting!

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

That is correct. He just set it up for me. I didn't want to mess with his puters! It works awesome. I've delt with alot of bullshit IT guys in my life, but he knows his stuff. And he knows about all the products and stuff on thinkgeek. +2

80's flashback:

I used to have a device called a 'cat' (play on the fact it was supposed to be an alternative to a mouse) that was designed to be used with my old 48k Spectrum. It was basically a cross between a wireless mouse (way before they came out) and a remote control.

It was supposed to be a wireless (infrared) joystick but it had a large dial shaped pad in the middle and was a bit awkward.

That's the only cat I'd allow near my computer. My real cats like to sleep on my wireless keyboard and wear down the batteries.
