Backing up a netbook os

Posted 10 July 2010 - 04:57 PM

I have used acronis to back up as a .tib

I just ordered a samsung super slim ext dvd writer. I am thinking of waiting to format the hdd until i get the writer to backup to dvds. What program do you recommend? I am looking to format win7 starter and probably put ubuntu on it. I always like to have backups of my machines though so i can restore to factory settings. I especially like the way Acers backup their machines; you can boot from the discs with no problem at all.

Any ideas?

What OS comes loaded on here (what OS are you trying to back up)?

Does the netbook come with a recovery CD? In that case, you probably don't need to back anything up as it should reload everything for you....
