Question about installing Ubuntu

Hey, I just wanted to know is it okay, to install ubuntu i386 on a computer with AMD64 bit?


I feel like an idiot right now, because i am installing a i386 system onto my laptop which is an amd 64X2

I am dling the AMD one , and will not start up in Ubuntu, but i would like to know if i am going something bad?

There is a ubuntu download for amd64, and from what I've heard, it works fine.

Yes, Ubuntu I386 will work on a 64bit processor.
