Well you see, I had this brilliant idea, to ask if anyone knew someone who learned to program, and didn't ever do anything with it.

Then I found this cool looking manage topic poll button, long story short...

Technically VB3, but at the time I had no idea it was programming (I was too young at the time, being only 7, and having not really heard of the idea). The first one I really learned as a programming language while knowing so would be PHP, so that's what I voted.

But the topic's question isn't what was your first programming language. The question was how many people learn a language and never pursue a career with it...
