So I've got my netfinity 3000 up and working , and now I'm looking forward to changing the stock Windows NT server 4.0 that came with it to Red Hat 9, for more functionality, reliability, and whatever else linux brings.

However what scares me is that the box won't run linux in graphic mode, because of it's very very old processor. I have box dedicated to text-linux and I don't want another one, for simplicity's sake. The box is running on a P2 440 (or something like that) and 384 mb of ram clock unknown. Do you think it'll run with the GNOME desktop or not?

It should run redhat 9, gnome graphics a bit sluggish, but it will still work.

I have it running on an old think pad thats a P2 and it runs ok.
