Posted 31 August 2006 - 09:11 AM

Here's a first look at the ColdFusion reference sheet. It's based on CF7... take a look and provide feedback please and thank you.

under Variable Declaration: a variable could be declared using <cfparam>

<cflocation> with <cfinclude>

you could add for & do/while loops done within <cfscript> although not real common.

<cfoutput query=""> to loop
under loops; collection loop..not real common.

You need to change the below:
<cfquery
name = "query_name"
dataSource = "ds_name"
dbtype = "query">
SQL statement(s)
</cfquery>

...dbtype="query" will error in MX7 if you use datasource. I would leave dbtype out.

add <cfmail>

you might add some mathematical/number functions and valuelist()

error handling ??? I teach folks to use <cftry> <cfcatch> <cfmail> together so that they (the developer) receive the error message immediately. Very basic.

add <cfargument> to <cffunction> stuff

Here's the latest, wasn't able to fit cfmail on here or the error control, but was able to add cfargument, cflocation, cfoutput query=, valuelist(), and make the minor edits you suggested.

the listtoArray() function is incorrect. I posted this on the reference sheet comments, but thought i would post here as well. I apologize for the double posting.

listToArray(array) should be listToArray(string)

Hey dduck, it's on my list of things to do, I've got the ref sheet on my pen drive so the next time I have a few minutes to tackle it I'll get it corrected. Good catch! Thanks :)
