The proper place to post a question

Posted 21 July 2010 - 10:48 AM

Hi,

It's been a while, DIC! I figure this might be a good place to get myself back in the swing of coding things.

To that end, I'd like to collaborate with people in person and I want to know where I can post a request to meet up with local fellow coders (ActionScript/Flash). I'm just wanting to make sure I post in the correct forum.

Are you doing this in regards to getting feedback on a project or in terms of hiring or posting a job? The Freelancing forums might be the place to post.

Good question...

I'm definitely not hiring or hired on by anyone, more like...looking for feedback and collaborators. Basically, I want to be able to get together with a small group of people and say, "hey, wouldn't it be awesome to do 'x'?" And they can put in their two cents and help code up an idea or two. More like collaboratively working with people who also want to have a portfolio to show off their skills but might not have much or anything yet. Sorry...sometimes I can be long winded and confusing. LOL!

You're welcome to open a thread in share your project to showcase your project and extend an invitation to others asking for feedback and collaboration. :)

What about if I haven't got a project yet, if it's really in idea form? It's not that I want someone to do it for me, more like, it would be nice to work with others instead of doing everything myself. I mean from planning a project, to coding, debugging, testing, the entire cycle of development.

The Share Your Project forum is still a good place for that. It's where we want people to organize group projects at.
