Actually, minors can participate. If a member under the age of 18 is selected, their parents or legal guardian can give permission for the minor to accept the prize.

So why post such? No one is forcing you to take a free laptop if you win it.

OK I am under 18 and it feels good to see that minors can win by seeking parent's permission.
May I have more info on how DIC is going to seek parental permission?
Moreover, every member is registered with an email, apart from those few who have left their email accounts to decay and expire. Does our email have to be public in order to win? Or will keeping email address private work as good?

Holy spam from Hell, Batman!
@autocrat -- even if your email is marked "private", Admins can still see it. It's cool. Chris will bring out the code-sniffing dogs to track you down.
Now... I demand more idiot guest posts! Chop! Chop!

You should have posted that in a new post instead of editing the first one!
And what about the parental permission?

No, that would have meant double posting, which is a mortal sin.
I have no answer for parental permission, but I'm sure the forum gods have their ways.
