MS SQL Server and Crystal Reports

Posted 19 August 2010 - 11:09 AM

I'm using MS SQL server 2005 on my Webserver. I have Crystal Reports 2008 for reports. I have a query that I have created and want to connect it to Crystal Reports. I'm not sure how to go about doing that. I've looked on the internet for help but can't seem to find what type of Connection to laod it as.

Any one know a place or a method to use??

Well typically you would use something like an ODBC connection along with the appropriate driver or OLE DB (which is the best choice if it is available) in which you can connect to a DSN or instance of the SQL Server. Below is a youtube video that shows you how to connect Crystal Reports 2008 to SQL Server.

Hope this helps! Enjoy! :)
