I want to see what they are doing with their parallelism problems they were having. Last I heard the quad core was simply two dual cores with dual parallelism between the cores causing some possible bus issues.

Waiting for AMD's quad core too. Should be interesting to compare the two...

Yeah. Intel did mention about havin da quad core soon. I always prefer AMD.

I'm waiting for Intel's Core 2 Duo Processors to hit the Notebook Market.
So far I've only seen them only on Desktop PC's...

Have they come out yet?

Yeah the Core 2 Duos have come out in notebooks now. Dell I know offers them, as well as HP. I dont know about anyone else, but you can customize their laptops with Core 2 Duos now.

intel announced the other day they have a prototype 80 core processor and expect it to be ready for manufacturing within the next 6 years, as well as a lot of tech working down at the 32nm level. they've had a couple of slow years but starting with the core duo they really look to have upped their game. it's going to be interesting to see where this is going.

Some notebooks are being marketed as Centrino Duo and Core Duo.
Are these the same?
