Cyber Cafe

Posted 29 November 2001 - 01:30 PM

Well.. I am doing this project creating an international business. Me and my partner decided to do a chain store of cyber cafes in either UK or France... most likely UK... however  we are not sure how to go about it.. I mean we have the basic idea of what it is.. but how can we gain profit from it besides selling coffee and snacks.. Any ideas?

How about charging for time on the internet or setting up lan games and charging per game/hour on those?  Sell how to computer books.
Set up your own ISP.

Re: Cyber Cafe

When I study my college in Malaysia
the only entertainment around 3 colleges are cybercafes
and there are many cybercafes there..
But, most students went to only few of them
One of them is call "X-Gate" and it is the most popular among the cybercafes there
First, maybe because of the 60 PCs in there and they link to the opposite cybercafe which have around 80PCs. And most student spend their time playing LAN there.
Students went there not only because of the quantity of the PCs but also the quality. They have like DDR Video Card and Asus motherboard and 256 ram and most PC are all running AMD-Athlon 899 (ALL PCS are built-up) ,therefore it was always crowded and the cafe is open 24 hours.
oh well.. this is situation in Malaysia, but it should be different situation depend on what time of cybercafe are you looking into and which target market you want to attract. Hope this helps..
